He predicted a blockbuster run, lauded the VFX, and said the film’s emotional depth would silence critics and audiences alike.
Ashish Chanchlani, known for his comedy and YouTube content, got to attend a special invite-only screening of ‘The Odyssey’ in Mumbai, ahead of its wide theatrical release. He took to social media to express his delight, sharing a picture from the premiere along with the caption, “What a beautiful morning for me,” capturing his excitement over the exclusive experience.

He also posted the film’s closing credit card, which credited, “Written for the screen and directed by Christopher Nolan,” captioning it, “I am speechless…” Chanchlani additionally shared a video on his Instagram, gushing about the film throughout. He said, “Bade screen ka jadu hota hai na, wo kya hota hai aaj mujhe Odyssey dekh ke pata chal gaya.” Rating it a flawless “10/10,” he further said, “Kya picture banayi hai, jabardast. Picture mein 1 minute koi boring scene nahi hai.” He also mentioned that the film has it all, spanning action, thriller, and horror elements.The YouTuber further described it as a “pure Matt Damon show.” Elaborating on this, he said, “Puri picture uski hai (Matt Damon), wo le ke gaya hai one-side.” Even as he felt Damon dominated the film, Chanchlani also had praise for Zendaya, Tom Holland and Robert Pattinson, noting, “Robert Pattinson ka na kaafi alag role hai.”He even forecast a massive box office run for the film, remarking, “Picture ki ticket nahi milne wali hai, itni badi blockbuster hogi.” Giving the film a wholehearted endorsement, Chanchlani termed it a “10/10 recommended” watch. He elaborated, “Ye ek Nolan ki picture hai jaha mujhe bhot emotional feel hua hai. Iske pehle kaafi narratively uski picturein, you know, kaafi complicated hoti thi… Lekin ye picture mein itne emotions hain, baap bete ke, wife ke, family ke…” He further noted that despite the story involving Greek gods, monsters and witches, Nolan has grounded it in a realistic, believable manner. He also lauded the film’s VFX, noting that it never appeared artificial or fake.Taking a swipe at critics, Chanchlani concluded, “Jo log bol rahe the pehli Nolan ki picture hai jo boring lag rahi hai… aisi lag rahi… waisi lag rahi.
