‘Karenesque’: Lara Trump’s viral dance sparks cringe and brutal takes on her music career

Members of the Trump clan seem hell-bent on making a career in mainstream media and their ambitious dreams are being revealed one by one. After the FLOTUS announced the release of her documentary film, Trump’s youngest daughter-in-law, Lara Trump has returned with an upcoming music video. Wife of Trump’s third child, Eric Trump, the 43-year-old has once again gone viral for a video where she can be seen dancing alongside Egyptian rapper Mohamed Ramadan. Recorded in September, the video has resurfaced on the internet, causing much outrage against the Trump family member.

The viral clip

In the clip gaining traction on X, Trump and the 37-year-old musician can be seen dancing and lip-syncing while filming the video of their upcoming song inside Trump National Golf Club. “Eric Trump’s wife was filmed dancing with Ali Mohamed Ramadan while shooting their upcoming song “Sah-Sah” – inside Trump National Golf Club Jupiter. How would you describe her dance moves?” said the caption of the video shared by an account named @HustleBitch_. “Best workday with @laraleatrump and her daughter, the little princess Carolina Trump sweetest girl in the world,” Ramadan wrote in September during the filming of their music video. “Happy Global African American Day. Stay tuned.”

Netizens troll Lara Trump

Numerous netizens took to the social media app to criticise Trump’s second endeavour into the music industry. “If you need some secondhand embarrassment today, may I present to you:” wrote one while resharing the clip. “It’s a whole pathetic family of Make-A-Wish kids with a zillion dollars” condemned another. “Lara Trump is a worse dancer than she is a singer…and that’s saying something,” shared an X user. “My prayer is that this is AI. Because I could not begin to unpack all that is wrong with this,” quipped another.”Karenesque,” commented one.

Lara Trump’s music career

The track titled ‘Sah-Sah’, on which Trump collaborated with the rapper is set for release on January 23rd, 2026. Since their first meeting, Ramadan has frequently posted numerous images with Trump on Instagram. Her foray into music began in 2023 with a cover of Tom Petty’s “I Won’t Back Down” which debuted in the top 10 on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart. Next year, she released “Hero” a song honouring first-responders. She also released a single titled “Anything Is Possible” in 2024. The song with Ramadan marks her second time working with an Arab musician. Before this, a song titled ‘No Days Off’ was recorded with Moroccan-American rapper French Montana, a.k.a. Khloé Kardashian’s ex, dropped last February. However, this foray into Arab music was described by Rolling Stone as “a masterclass in insipid vocal fry pop slop,” and was not received well by the listeners as well, one of whom described her voice as “really, really robotic—more like AI.” Apart from her side hustle in music, Trump is the host of the weekend show, My View with Lara Trump on Fox News.
