Mrunal breaks silence amid marriage speculation with Dhanush

Mrunal Thakur breaks silence amid marriage speculation with Dhanush, ‘Grounded, glowing and unshaken’

Mrunal Thakur and Dhanush have been rumoured to be dating since last year, though neither actor has confirmed or acknowledged the speculation. The buzz around their alleged relationship intensified recently after online chatter claimed that the two were set to tie the knot. While a few reports suggested that Mrunal and Dhanush were planning to get married in February, the claims were later firmly dismissed by a source close to the actors. Amid the speculation surrounding her personal life, Mrunal has now shared her first Instagram post, describing herself as “grounded, glowing and unshaken”.On Saturday, Mrunal took to Instagram to post a video of herself on a boat, enjoying the sunset and sea breeze. With her wavy hair left open, the actor gazed at the calm waters and soaked in the tranquil surroundings.Keeping the caption minimal, she wrote, “Grounded, glowing and unshaken!”

Wedding rumours dismissed

Earlier on Friday morning, social media was abuzz with claims that Dhanush and Mrunal Thakur would be getting married on February 14, 2026. The speculation spread rapidly before being shut down by a source close to the actor.“There is absolutely no truth to these reports. Mrunal is not getting married next month. This is a rumour that has caught wind for no reason,” Hindustan Times reported, dismissing the claims. The timing of the alleged wedding also raised eyebrows within industry circles. According to the report, Mrunal has a packed professional schedule lined up in the coming months, making a February wedding implausible.“She has a release scheduled for February, followed by another Telugu film in March. It doesn’t make sense for her to plan a wedding in the middle of back-to-back releases,” the source said, adding that her focus remains firmly on work at the moment.

How the dating rumours began

For the unversed, dating rumours involving Mrunal Thakur and Dhanush first surfaced in August 2025, when the actress was seen warmly greeting the Tamil star at the premiere of her film Son Of Sardaar 2. A video of their interaction went viral on social media. Prior to that, Mrunal’s presence at the wrap party of Dhanush’s film Tere Ishk Mein had also fuelled speculation, though neither actor has commented on the nature of their relationship. Go to Source
