Filmmaker Pooja Bhatt is feeling nostalgic as ‘Jism’ completes 23 years in Hindi cinema. The 2003 erotic thriller became a talking point for its bold storytelling, and the unforgettable impact it left on audiences. To celebrate the milestone, Pooja Bhatt shared a throwback image featuring John Abraham with a special note.

A song & album that endures through time. Released on January 17, 2003. 23 years ago. Gratitude. ✨️✨️✨️.”Through her words, she highlighted how the film wasn’t just remembered for its story, but also for its lasting cultural influence.

About the movie

‘Jism’ remains one of the most defining erotic thrillers in Hindi cinema. The film created a noir-inspired atmosphere, blending seduction with danger and emotional intensity. Kabir is a lawyer with problems whose life is overturned after meeting Sonia, a woman entangled in a complicated marriage, whose feelings get more intense with every moment, carrying with them elements of obsession and deception.This movie also got recognition for its courageous depiction of adult relationships and conflict. It has developed a cult status over the years for opening the genre.
