A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Rohit Shetty’s next is titled ‘Maria IPS’. Rohit, lead actor John Abraham, and others in the core team felt that this was an apt title considering that it’s based on the life of a police officer named Rakesh Maria.”

The report further stated that the title has a commercial vibe to it and also sends the right message to the audience. The insider further told the publication, “The makers did look for other options, but, in all probability, Maria IPS is what the film will be called.”The report added that the title will be finalized in a month, after which they will be announcing the same officially. Reportedly, the makers might announce the release date as well.

According to the same report, the film team of ‘Maria IPS’ is quite excited for the movie release, considering the way it has been shaped up. The source further told the website, “Rohit Shetty will showcase a new style of commercial filmmaking with this film that viewers haven’t seen before.” The report further added that John has delivered an amazing performance in the movie. Reportedly, the movie has been shot in real-life locations, mainly in South and Central Mumbai.
