‘Why am I paying taxes?’ Woman slams government over immigration, says child’s learning suffered due to non-English-speaking students

‘Why am I paying taxes?’ Woman slams government over immigration, says child’s learning suffered due to non-English-speaking students

A woman has sparked debate online after criticising the government over immigration and its impact on public education, saying her child’s learning has suffered in a classroom with a large number of non-English-speaking students. In a video circulating on social media, the woman said, “Why is one of my children in a class where she’s one of four kids that speaks English in math and she doesn’t get to learn math because there’s 20 plus other kids who don’t know English and the teacher has to accommodate them. And I’m not blaming the teacher. I actually feel really bad for the teachers.” “Why, why am I paying property taxes? Why, why am I paying income tax? Why am I paying taxes for anything? For my children to have the right to a free and public education, which, by the way, they constantly are trying to take the ability for us to homeschool and all that stuff away to make them go to public school. But then when they go to public school, this, this is what they get. You don’t get to learn math because you know English, so you just don’t get to learn math. What,” she added. Her comment sparked online debate, with users slamming the immigration policy. One of the users commented, “Import the 3rd world Become the 3rd world.” Another said, “This is why she will have to move her child to private education. Another aspect of immigration that’s impacting people from the country.” One user said, “Insanity. This is wrong. Theft.”
