In her Instagram story, Priyanka Chopra has shared that the armour is completely handmade, designed to feel authentic rather than ornamental. The sleeveless, high-neck brown armour features two leather straps, one running across the shoulder and another secured at the waist, giving it a functional and raw aesthetic that aligns with the film’s gritty tone. Priyanka wrote, “Bloody mary’s original armour.. Handmade..” She also credited the acclaimed designer behind the powerful costume, Antoinette Messam. Speaking to Variety, Priyanka Chopra Jonas shared that the film aims for a more realistic depiction of pirates. “We are making an attempt to show what it was actually like to be a pirate in the 1700s, rather than recreating Pirates of the Caribbean,” she said.

The Bluff’s plot is set in the Cayman Islands and follows Ercell “Bloody Mary” Bodden (Priyanka Chopra). Once a pirate, she leaves behind her dark past, to build a quiet life with her husband T.H, son Issac, and sister-in-law Elizabeth. However, things take a turn for worst and dreamland sees that shadows of nightmare whhen her ruthless former captain, Connor, tracks her down to exact revenge. He aims to drag her back into a deadly game, and she does everything to protect her family at any cost. The narrative hints at emotional conflict alongside physical danger, suggesting that the film balances action with character-led drama.The film also stars Karl Urban, as Temuera Morrison, and Ismael Cruz Córdova, with Safia Oakley-Green, David Field, Zack Morris, Pacharo Mzembe, and Vedanten Naidoo in pivotal roles.‘The Bluff’ is releasing on Amazon Prime Video on February 25, 2026.
