A major action has been taken in Jaipur’s Chomu area after a mob allegedly pelted stones at police during an anti-encroachment drive. The incident took place on December 25, when police teams faced violence while trying to remove illegal encroachment near a mosque. Following this, the administration launched an early-morning bulldozer action in Pathan Mohalla. As many as 26 properties were identified for encroachment, and illegal portions of houses and shops were demolished, while some premises were sealed. Heavy police deployment ensured the operation remained peaceful. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma had earlier made it clear that strict action would be taken against those attacking police. The operation was completed before market hours to avoid unrest.
