Mahindra has announced that its newly launched XUV 3XO REVX A will feature Dolby Atmos, making it the first SUV globally priced under ₹12 lakh (ex-showroom) to include the audio technology.

The announcement was made in partnership with Dolby Laboratories, which said the move will extend immersive sound experiences to a wider consumer base. In addition to the REVX A, Dolby Atmos will also be available in the AX5L, AX7 and AX7L variants of the XUV 3XO. These models will be available to customers from mid-September.

Audio system and features

The Dolby Atmos system in the XUV 3XO variants includes a six-speaker setup, tuned to suit the cabin architecture. The AX7L variant will also feature a subwoofer to enhance bass and clarity. Dolby Atmos will allow consumers to stream music through Gaana directly via the infotainment system.

This makes the XUV 3XO the fourth Mahindra vehicle series to adopt Dolby Atmos, following the BE 6, XEV 9e and Thar ROXX, the company said in a statement.

R Velusamy, President – Automotive Business (Designate), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said, “At Mahindra, we are driven by the vision of democratising advanced innovations to make them accessible to a wider range of customers. With the XUV 3XO, we are proud to set a significant milestone by introducing Dolby Atmos starting with the sub ₹12 lakh SUV – XUV 3XO REVX A—a global first that redefines in-cabin audio with immersive sound for a larger group of general consumers, transforming every journey.”

Karan Grover, Senior Director, Commercial Partnerships – IMEA, Dolby Laboratories, said, “We believe great sound should be available to everyone, everywhere. With the Mahindra XUV 3XO, we are proud to bring Dolby Atmos to a larger set of Indian consumers, making immersive in-car entertainment more accessible than ever before.”
