A six-month-old boy, born after a decade-long wait, died in Indore after allegedly falling ill due to contaminated drinking water. Dense fog, freezing midnight temperatures, and deserted stretches of the Gurgaon–Faridabad Road allegedly provided cover for a horrific crime, as a 25-year-old woman was gang-raped inside a moving van in the early hours of Tuesday. India to get first bullet train by 2027; Ashwini Vaishnaw reveals routes

India is set to roll out its first bullet train by August 15, 2027, announced Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. Speaking about the project timeline, he said the high-speed rail service will be ready by August 15, 2027. Detailing the rollout plan, the minister said the first operational stretch will be from Surat to Bilimora, followed by Vapi–Surat, Vapi–Ahmedabad, Thane–Ahmedabad, and finally the full Mumbai–Ahmedabad corridor.
