Maruti Suzuki’s December 2025 domestic sales climb 36.5% to 1.92 lakh units

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd reported a 36.5 per cent year-on-year (YoY) rise in domestic sales, including sales to OEMs, to 192,115 units in December 2025, compared with 140,829 units in the same month last year.

Total sales for the month stood at 217,854 units, marking a 22.3 per cent increase from 178,248 units sold in December 2024, according to the company’s monthly sales update.

Exports, however, declined 31.2 per cent year on year to 25,739 units in December, compared with 37,419 units in the year-ago period.

Segment-wise performance

Domestic passenger vehicle sales were recorded at 178,646 units during the month, while light commercial vehicle (LCV) sales stood at 3,519 units. Combined domestic sales, including LCVs, totalled 182,165 units. Sales to other OEMs accounted for 9,950 units.

By segment, mini and compact cars together contributed 92,929 units, utility vehicles recorded sales of 73,818 units, and vans accounted for 11,899 units. The company reported no sales in the mid-size segment during the month.
