Breaking: Cm Rekha Gupta Attacked During Public Hearing, Sustains Minor Injuries

In a shocking incident on August 20, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta was attacked during a public hearing at her Civil Lines residence. The CM was interacting with citizens and addressing their grievances when a man, posing as a petitioner, suddenly launched an assault. According to eyewitnesses, the accused first attempted to throw a stone at the Chief Minister. When that failed, he allegedly tried to slap her. The security personnel immediately intervened and restrained the attacker, preventing further harm.Sources confirm that CM Gupta sustained minor injuries in the incident but remained composed and continued to calm the gathering. The attacker has been taken into custody, and an investigation is underway to determine his motives and whether he acted alone or under external influence.Authorities have tightened security around the Chief Minister’s residence following the assault. Political leaders across party lines have strongly condemned the attack, calling it an assault on democracy and public order. Citizens also expressed concern over security arrangements during public hearings.Police officials assured that the matter is being probed from all possible angles. Meanwhile, CM Gupta thanked supporters for their concern and stated that such incidents would not deter her from serving the people.
