In a heartfelt admission, actress Yami Gautam shared her desire to join her husband Aditya Dhar’s remarkable feature, ‘Dhurandhar’, praising its ingenious script. Though they maintain professional boundaries, her enthusiasm for the espionage thriller is palpable. With Ranveer Singh leading a stellar cast, the film has skyrocketed to international acclaim, amassing over Rs 1000 crore at the box office.

Aditya Dhar’s ‘Dhurandhar’ has been breaking box office records since its release in theaters. The movie received appreciation from all quarters. Yami Gautam shares she wished to be part of ‘Dhurandhar’

In an interview with News18 Showsha, Aditya Dhar’s wife and actress, Yami Gautam, shared that when she read the script of the film, she felt like wanting to be a part of it. She said, “When I read his next script, I told him that it was one of those rare moments when I wished I was a guy. The script is so brilliant. It’s such an amazing world.”

The actress further expressed that they both maintain a personal and professional line; hence, she didn’t have any expectations. Yami added that they have had an understanding between them since the beginning. She said, “If he feels that somebody else is a better fit for a part that he’s writing, I would be absolutely fine with it.”

For those unaware, Yami Gautam’s name was mentioned in the credit slate of the film. Her husband and director of the film, Aditya Dhar, thanked her for the support.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the spy action film is led by Ranveer Singh. It also features Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi, and Sara Arjun. The ensemble cast also included Danish Pandor, Naseem Mughal, Gaurav Gera, Naveen Kaushik, and Saumya Tandon.The film has earned over Rs 1000 crore at the global box office.
