NEW DELHI: Actor-turned-politician Vijay’s car was stopped in Chennai on Tuesday by unhappy TVK members who were protesting the allocation of district-level posts. There has been no report of any injury or damage following the incident. TVK, led by Vijay, has earlier faced challenges, including a deadly stampede at a rally in Karur in September 2025 that left more than 40 people dead.
