North India fog: Dense fog grips North India, Visibility Drops To Near Zero

Several cities across North India are in the grip of dense fog, leading to near-zero visibility and widespread disruption in daily life. Road users are facing serious difficulties as visibility has dropped sharply, forcing drivers of two-wheelers, cars, and heavy vehicles to move at very slow speeds with headlights on. Pedestrians are also struggling due to poor visibility. The impact is being felt on air and rail travel as well, with reports of flight disruptions and multiple trains running behind schedule. The weather department has issued alerts, citing western disturbance and low wind speed as major reasons for the persistent fog. Authorities have advised people to avoid unnecessary travel and check flight or train status before starting long journeys.
