UP Police Crackdown: Multiple Encounters Across Ballia, Saharanpur and Bulandshahr Under Operation Langda

Uttar Pradesh Police carried out a series of major operations across the state in the last 24 hours, leading to multiple encounters with notorious criminals. The coordinated action was conducted under the ongoing “Operation Langda,” aimed at cracking down on hardened offenders involved in serious crimes. Encounters were reported from Ballia, Saharanpur, and Bulandshahr districts. In Bulandshahr, a wanted criminal carrying a cash reward was killed in an exchange of fire after he allegedly opened fire on the police team. The accused had several serious cases registered against him, including murder and robbery. In Saharanpur, the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) arrested another notorious criminal following a confrontation. The accused, reportedly linked to cases of dacoity and armed robbery, was apprehended after he fired at the STF team in an attempt to escape. Police sources indicated that he was also suspected to have connections extending towards Punjab. Meanwhile, Ballia also witnessed police action against criminals as part of the same statewide operation. Senior officials stated that these encounters send a clear message that criminals will not be spared and that law enforcement remains vigilant, even during late-night operations. Authorities emphasized that all actions were taken in self-defense after the accused fired at police personnel. Investigations are ongoing, and further details are awaited.
