Lamarr Wilson, a well known Los Angeles based tech and lifestyle YouTuber with over 2.11 million subscribers, has died by suicide at 48. His death was confirmed by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner and a family member. Tributes from Geoff Keighley and fans highlight Wilson’s lasting impact on the tech and creator community.

A highly respected voice in the tech and lifestyle content world, broke out online, the creator community collectively mourned, when news of Lamarr Wilson’s death. Coming from Los Angeles, where he lived, and known for his calm delivery, Wilson became a source of clarity and building blocks of his channel and also a relationship with millions of people who turned to him in a rapidly changing digital landscape. According to public records from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office, Wilson died at the age of 48 and it wasn’t until November 21st, 2025, that his passing was confirmed by his family member, Tony Wilson, in a very subdued Facebook post.

We have so much love for his manage Team Agents as well all the fans he mentored helped or inspired.” Geoff Keighley, the host of The Game Awards, called him a central figure in the Los Angeles video game and tech scene, and remembered that he was one of the first people he reached out to for support and to contribute to Summer Game Fest.He added, “It’s heartbreaking that Lamarr Wilson has passed away at age 48. Lamarr was a cornerstone of the LA gaming and tech creator community, and he carried an infectious joy and warmth with him everywhere. Every conversation with him left me feeling a little more energized. He had a rare ability to lift people up just by being himself. During the pandemic, he was one of the first creators to reach out, wanting to help and be part of Summer Game Fest. That generosity and spirit meant a great deal to us, and it’s something I’ll always remember. My thoughts are with Lamarr’s family, friends, and everyone whose lives he touched.”As the tributes keep pouring in on X, Instagram, Reddit and TikTok it’s clear that Lamarr Wilson made a difference in people’s lives. He had a knack for showing up for others, laying out facts without bragging about it, and has given the world a heritage that’s all about kindness, wanting to learn more, and community.
