Blue Archive faces backlash over streamer selection

Blue Archive is a popular gacha role-playing game with a loyal fan base. After the collaboration announcement on December 17, criticism started spreading on X. Many fans said the game chose creators based on large viewer numbers instead of long-time Blue Archive players.X user @TatcheeClips wrote that the company “doesn’t understand Blue Archive or its community,” pointing out creators like Remi, Mint, Shondo, and Yumie, who regularly play the game. The post gained traction and reflected a wider feeling among fans.Others took issue with Connor “CDawgVA” Colquhoun joining the campaign. X user @HanekawasHero accused him of being against the game’s culture and wrote that the partnership felt forced. Some people supported the creators while others sided with the community; these remarks started arguments all over the platform. The response had gotten difficult to ignore by the close of the day. On Wednesday, December 18, 2025, Blue Archive confirmed the collaboration was canceled. In an official X post, the developers apologized and said they would listen more closely to feedback. The statement read, “After internal review and discussion, we have decided not to proceed with this influencer campaign.”The company added that future communication would better match the direction of Blue Archive and the expectations of its players, often called “Sensei.”Zentreya was the only creator to respond publicly. In an X post, she said she understood the decision and had no hard feelings. “I’d rather it go to someone who’s played nonstop,” she wrote. Zentreya added that she would keep playing Blue Archive because she enjoyed the story and characters, calling the game nostalgic and fun.As of Thursday, December 19, 2025, Connor “CDawgVA” Colquhoun, Ironmouse, and Garnt “Gigguk” Maneetapho have not commented publicly on the cancellation. Also Read: Erika Kirk Sparks Fresh Debate At AmFest 2025 After Egypt Joke Tied To Candace Owens And Charlie Kirk Death Claims Go to Source
