Delhi is witnessing severe weather conditions as very dense fog continues to blanket the national capital, prompting the India Meteorological Department (IMD) to issue a warning until 8:30 am. Visibility in several areas has dropped below 50 metres, affecting road, rail, and air traffic. Locations such as India Gate, Akshardham, Palam Airport, and Yamuna Expressway remain engulfed in thick fog, increasing the risk of accidents. Authorities have advised commuters to drive cautiously using fog lights and parking lights. Adding to the trouble, air quality remains in the very poor category, with Delhi’s overall AQI recorded at 387 and Anand Vihar crossing 440. Residents are facing a triple impact of cold, fog, and pollution.
