Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan took a break from ‘King’ movie shoots to attend an even in the city, late Wednesday night. The actor, who is rocking a new darker hair colour, stepped out in style for the event that saw him shake a leg to some of his most iconic songs.Dressed to impress in a navy blue suit, a button-down shirt and sunglasses, the actor made a grand entrance on the big stage, to the tune of his popular track ‘Baadshah O Baadshah’. Videos from the event saw fans hooting and cheering as the superstar arrived on the stage.

Khan greeted the audience and interacted with the guests at the venue. Videos going viral saw the star saying, “You can take a man out of Maharashtra but you can’t take Maharashtra out of a man.”

Another clip saw Shah Rukh joined fellow guests and even a group of performers, as he danced to a medley of fan-favourite tracks from his film career. Among the songs featured were ‘Chand Tare Tod’ and ‘Om Shanti Om’. The superstar also had no qualms leading the choreography and getting the guests to join him.

Following the performance, Khan spent time backstage posing for photographs with a handful of lucky guests, photos which were soon shared online.

Shah Rukh Khan gears up for ‘King’ release

The appearance comes as the actor continues work on his highly anticipated action thriller ‘King’. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film also stars Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone and Abhishek Bachchan in lead roles. The film is particularly significant as it marks Suhana’s theatrical debut alongside her father.The team was most recently spotted in South Africa, shooting a romantic song sequence and also an epic fight scene that reportedly saw Abhishek showing off his villainous avatar.The film is currently slated for a worldwide theatrical release on December 24, 2026. The movie will arrive amid a packed box office, releasing just days after the Hollywood epics ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ and ‘Dune: Part Three’.
