'Akhanda 2: Thaandavam' box office collections day 7: Balakrishna film crosses Rs 75 crore mark; Occupancy remains low

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s ‘Akhanda 2: Thaandavam’ has surpassed Rs 75 crore in India within its first week. Despite a dip in collections after an initial strong opening, the film maintained a steady performance. Early estimates suggest Rs 2.50 crore on Day 7, bringing the total net collection to approximately Rs 76.40 crore.

‘Akhanda 2: Thaandavam’ has completed its first week at the box office and managed to cross the Rs 75 crore mark in India.On Day 7, the film earned around Rs 2.50 crore as per early estimates by the Sacnilk website. With this, the total India net collection now stands at approximately Rs 76.40 crore. Even though the film opened well, collections slowed down after the first few days.

Midweek drop in collections

On Day 5, the film collected Rs 4.25 crore, followed by Rs 3.30 crore on Day 6. Day 7 saw a further drop. Despite this decline, the film has managed to stay strong. ‘Akhanda 2: Thaandavam’ had 16.07 percent occupancy rate in Telugu 2D screens on December 18. Morning shows started low at 13.28 percent. Afternoon shows improved slightly to 16.46 percent. Evening shows stood at 17.55 percent, while night shows settled at 16.98 percent.

3D and Tamil version performance

The Telugu 3D version saw lower occupancy compared to 2D, with an overall 10.34 percent. Morning shows were at 6.28 percent, while evening and night shows stayed close to 12 percent. The Tamil 2D version performed a little better with an overall occupancy of 13.99 percent.
