Breaking: Delhi’s Anti-Pollution Rules Take Effect, Ground Reality Raises Questions on Enforcement

Delhi’s fight against toxic air enters a critical phase as the government’s four new anti-pollution rules come into force today. Vehicles from other states below BS6 norms are barred from entry, fuel supply without a valid Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificate is prohibited, construction material vehicles are restricted, and offices are operating with 50% work-from-home staff. However, a ground reality check reveals gaps in implementation. At several petrol pumps, fuel is reportedly being provided without checking PUC certificates, raising concerns over compliance.
