The Citroën 2.0 roadmap focuses on deeper localisation, expansion of the dealer and service network, and improved customer service.Citroën India recorded strong growth momentum in the second half of 2025, with sales in the fourth quarter running at nearly three times the levels of Q3, driven by the rollout of its Citroën 2.0 – ‘Shift Into The New’ strategy.
Unveiled in August 2025, the Citroën 2.0 roadmap focuses on deeper localisation, expansion of the dealer and service network, and improved customer-centric product and ownership experiences tailored for the Indian market.
The growth trajectory has been supported by new and refreshed product launches, a stronger export programme, and enhanced engineering and software capabilities. Citroën’s renewed focus on India-first products and manufacturing has also strengthened its contribution to parent Stellantis’ global operations.
Shailesh Hazela, CEO and Managing Director, Stellantis India, said the strategy is delivering visible results. “The focus on localisation, India-first product interventions and wider customer accessibility has helped create a sustainable growth path. Citroën’s Q4 sales were nearly three times Q3 levels, alongside a strong contribution to export growth,” he said, adding that the Basalt is set to join Citroën’s global export portfolio in 2026.
Exports
Vehicle exports from India rose 18.8 per cent in 2025, led by strong demand from Africa and ASEAN markets, reinforcing India’s role as a strategic manufacturing and export hub within Citroën’s global footprint.
In 2025, Citroën refreshed and expanded its India portfolio with models including the C3 Dark Edition, Aircross, C3X, Basalt, and Aircross X. The Basalt X also debuted CARA, India’s first intelligent in-car assistant, enabling voice-based controls for navigation, music, calls and real-time information.
The automaker also expanded partnerships with HDFC Bank, Sundaram Finance and IndusInd General Insurance to simplify financing and ownership, while collaborating with mobility providers to deploy electric vehicles in urban fleets.
