Veteran actor Dharmendra left the mortal world in November 2025. Celebrating his legacy, his cult classic ‘Sholay: The Final Cut’ was released on Friday, December 12, 2025. Screening across 1500 theatres in the country, ‘Sholay: The Final Cut’ has made it to the 70MM with restored 4K resolution, and the OG ending. The movie has released at a point, where the box office reigns is being controlled by Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar.’ However, the Dharmendra, Hema Malini and Amitabh Bachchan starrer is trying to hold its ground. Within three days of the release, the film is marching towards Rs.1.50 crore.

According to Sacnilk, ‘Sholay: The Final Cut’, opened with only Rs 30 lakhs on Friday. However, the weekend witnessed some growth. On Saturday, the movie minted Rs 50 lakhs, and on Sunday, with further growth, the film added Rs 60 lakh in the tally. Currently, the Indian net collection of ‘Sholay: The Final Cut’ stands at Rs. 1.40 crore. At this pace, the movie is expected to cross Rs 1.50 crore mark soon.
