Akshay Kumar urges youth to stay away from substance abuse: ‘I request all...'

Akshay Kumar, the actor who promotes fitness and health like no other, urged the young people to stay away from substance abuse during his visit to Bhubneshwar for an event. The 58-year-old further asked the audience to respect their parents, citing that they are the biggest strength in an individual’s life.

At a jewellery event in the city, Kumar addressed several people who joined the event to catch a glimpse of the actor. “I request all the young people to stay away from drugs and always respect your parents. They are the biggest strength in your life,” he said. Praising the people of Bhubneshwar for their love and hospitality, he said, “Ye ek sundar aur pavitra shehar hai (This is a beautiful and pure city),” before adding, “I have come here before as well. The love and warmth I receive here always touch my heart,” as per ANI. Earlier this month, Akshay Kumar took a pitstop at Biju Patnaik International Airport while traversing from Jodhpur to Vietnam. The eager fans had gathered in huge numbers to get a peek.

About Akshay Kumar’s next film

As for Kumar’s professional life, the actor will be starring alongside Saif Ali Khan for Priyadarshan’s ‘Haiwaan.’ The two, who have worked in many films including ‘Aarzoo,’ ‘Main Khiladi Tu Anari,’ ‘Yeh Dilagi,’ will be sharing screens after 17 years, as they last performed in ‘Tashan.’ Along with the two, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal will also be playing an important role in the film. “If you’re asking me about Haiwaan, Mohanlal is there in that film. However, what character he plays, I don’t want to say right now. See, every time I make a movie, it is the story that excites me. I never think about actors,” Priyadarshan said in an interview with Pinkvilla, while discussing how two famed actors would be featuring in the screen together. Reports are also doing rounds that Akshay Kumar and Akhshaye Khanna will be reuniting after over a decade for ‘Bhagam Bhag 2.’ However, no official confirmation from the makers has been made public as of now.
