War 2 box office day 6: Film makes over Rs 190 cr

'War 2' box office collection day 6: Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani starrer mints over Rs 190 crore amid neck-to-neck competition with Rajinikanth’s ‘Coolie’

Ayan Mukerji’s ‘War 2’ starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr. NTR, and Kiara Advani, was one of the most awaited and talked about movies of 2025. Coming from the genre of spy thrillers, this high-octane action thriller lived up to the hype with an impressive opening at the box office. However, after enjoying the benefits of the holiday release window and weekend surge, the business crashed down on its first Monday. It was the first time the movie collected in the single digits. Nevertheless, on its first Tuesday, ‘War 2’ tried to maintain the momentum and crossed the Rs 190 crore mark in the domestic market, after a successful run of 6 days.

Though the fall in numbers was visible right from day 3, the most significant drop came on day 5, i.e., the first Monday, according to Sacnilk. With a dip of over 70 per cent, the film collected Rs. 8.75 crores in India. This included Rs 7 crore from the Hindi version, Rs 0.15 from Tamil, and Rs. 1.6 from Telugu. On Tuesday, the movie tried to maintain a steady pace, yet there was a drop of around 4 per cent, and the collection stood at Rs. 8.35 Cr across all languages (Hindi: Rs 7 crore, Tamil: Rs 0.1 crore, and Telugu: Rs 1.25 crore. With this, ‘War 2’ has collected Rs. 192.85 crore net in India in 6 days.

Comparison with ‘Coolie’

Rajinikanth’s ‘Coolie’ was released alongside ‘War 2’, giving the movie a very tough competition. Over 6 days, ‘Coolie’ has tried to maintain its dominance over the box office. In the first five days, only the Thaliavar starrer crossed the Rs. 200 crore mark, despite the weekday crash. And on Day 6, again the film saw a drop, yet it made more business than ‘War 2.’ With a collection of Rs 9.51 crore, it now stands at Rs 216.01 crore.

About ‘War 2’

The story is about a former secret agent, Kabir, who is recruited by a global crime organization known as Kali to assassinate India’s Prime Minister and seize control of the country. In response, R&AW dispatches its top operative, Special Units Officer Vikram, to thwart his plan.
