Evening news wrap: EC extends SIR deadline in 6 states; IndiGo offers Rs 10,000 vouchers to affected passengers; and more

The Election Commission on Thursday extended the Special Intensive Revision deadline for Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. IndiGo, meanwhile, announced Rs 10,000 travel vouchers for passengers stranded between December 3 and 5. In Goa, police told the court that the Luthra brothers, accused in the Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub fire that killed 25 people, had misled investigators and shown no cooperation.
