Govinda’s wife Sunita opens up on losing 3-month old daughter

Govinda's wife Sunita Ahuja opens up on losing second daughter when she was three months old: 'She passed away in my arms'

Actor Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja have always been open about their relationship, often acknowledging the ups and lows they have endured over the years. In a recent conversation, Sunita revisited one of the most heartbreaking chapters of her life—the loss of their second child, who was born prematurely.During an interview with Usha Kakade on her YouTube channel, Sunita revealed that the most painful phase of her life was when her second daughter passed away. She recalled, “When my second daughter was born, she was born prematurely. She was in my arms for three months, but her lungs didn’t develop properly. So eventually, one night, she couldn’t breathe properly, and she passed away in my arms. That was extremely difficult for me. I could have had two daughters and a son today.”She had previously spoken about this loss in an interview with Hauterrfly, where she shared that the complications arose because she was travelling extensively with Govinda. She said, “Premature thi, 8 mahine mein paida ho gayi thi… Mujhe nahi pata tha… Pehla delivery toh aaram se ho gaya, mujhe laga doosra bhi aise hi ho jayega toh mujhe nahi pata tha ki weight nahi uthana hai.” Following that loss, Sunita and Govinda eventually welcomed their son, Yashvardhan. But even his birth came with its own set of challenges. Recalling that phase during a chat with YouTube channel Eat Travel Repeat, Sunita said, “When I was delivering my son Yash, I was 100 kg. I had gained a lot of weight. I thought I would die. Looking at me, Chi Chi started to cry. During those days, sex detection tests were legal. We knew we were having a son. I dramatically told the doctor, ‘Doctor, my husband wants a son. Please save the child; it is okay if I die in the process.’”
