Salman Khan applauds Ahan Shetty’s fiery ‘Border 2’ avatar; Suniel Shetty says, ‘Courage looks good on you’

Ahan Shetty’s fierce first look from ‘Border 2’ has gone viral, earning praise from Suniel Shetty, Salman Khan, and Diljit Dosanjh. Directed by Anurag Singh, the war drama also stars Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Sonam Bajwa. Produced by Bhushan Kumar and J.P. Dutta, it releases on January 23, 2026.

Ahan Shetty’s first look from ‘Border 2’ has set social media abuzz after the makers dropped the striking poster. Showcasing him in a fierce and commanding avatar, the glimpse drew praise from co-star Diljit Dosanjh, his father Suniel Shetty, and Salman Khan, all of whom lauded the actor’s powerful presence.

Makers drop the powerful poster

The makers of ‘Border 2’ dropped Ahan’s intense first-look poster on Tuesday, capturing him in a battle-ready avatar. Sharing the glimpse on social media, the team wrote, “Sarhad ho ya Samandar… Dharti Maa ka har beta ek hi kasam nibhaata hai” (Whether it’s a border or the ocean… every son of Mother India upholds the same oath). The powerful poster shows Ahan as a courageous Navy officer, bruised but steadfast, taking aim at the enemy.

Proud father Suniel Shetty shared his heartfelt reaction to Ahan’s striking first look, writing, “Honor… leaves its mark. And courage looks good on you, son.” The veteran actor, who featured in the original Border, now sees his son taking the story forward in Border 2. Ahan’s sister, Athiya Shetty, was equally thrilled, as she commented, “Just toooooo goood!!!!!!! I’m so excited.” Co-star Diljit Dosanjh dropped a fiery “FIRE” in response to the poster, while Salman Khan reposted Ahan’s look on his Instagram Stories along with the message, “Best wishes for the film.”

After finishing the shoot, Ahan reflected on the journey of ‘Border 2,’ sharing how deeply the experience impacted him. He wrote, “Walking off set today feels heavier than I expected. This film challenged me and gave me moments I’ll never forget.” Calling the project close to his heart, Ahan added that Border 2 is “more than just a film… It carries the weight of real stories, real courage, and the patriotism that lives beyond the screen.”

Directed by Anurag Singh, ‘Border 2’ is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J. P. Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta. The film is a sequel to J. P. Dutta’s 1997 hit ‘Border’ and features Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Sonam Bajwa, Mona Singh, and Medha Rana in key roles.
