Former US President Donald Trump has made a major statement on Venezuela, claiming that the United States will temporarily control the country until conditions stabilize. Trump praised US troops for their bravery and accused former Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro of allowing drug and arms trafficking into America. He said legal proceedings against Maduro and his wife will take place in New York. However, the alleged US action has triggered strong criticism. New York Mayor Mamdani termed it an “act of war” and called it a violation of international and American laws. Meanwhile, the Indian government has expressed concern over the situation in Venezuela and issued an advisory urging Indian citizens to avoid non-essential travel, stay alert, and remain in contact with the Indian Embassy in Caracas.
