Pakistan’s Defence Minister Says Country Ready For Two-Front War Amid Border Tensions

Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has started a controversy again, stating that the country is prepared for a potential two-front war amid growing regional tensions. Speaking in a televised interview, Asif warned of “strong chances” that India might “play dirty along the border,” emphasizing that Islamabad has already formulated strategies to respond to any escalation.

The remarks come at a time when border security concerns are rising, particularly with increasing activity from the Taliban and longstanding disputes with India. Asif’s statement signals Pakistan’s heightened military alertness, underlining the government’s focus on safeguarding national interests on multiple fronts.
