Donald Trump revealed that the United States was prepared to launch a major military attack on Iran on May 19, but the operation was postponed at the last moment following appeals from Arab nations, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates. Trump stated that orders for the strike had already been issued and the US military remains on high alert despite the temporary delay. In a social media post, he said several countries requested a short pause of two to three days because discussions with Iran were reportedly progressing toward a possible agreement. According to Trump, the main concern remains preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons. He added that if negotiations succeed and regional allies are satisfied with the outcome, the United States would also be satisfied. Trump also confirmed that Israel had been informed about the developments.
