Breaking News: Rajnath Singh Warns of Economic Impact from Middle East War

India’s Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has issued a major warning regarding the ongoing war in the Middle East. Speaking in Kolkata, he said the conflict could create serious global challenges, especially for the world economy. According to him, the situation in the Middle East is becoming increasingly complex and unpredictable. He emphasized that if tensions disrupt the Strait of Hormuz and the wider Persian Gulf region, it could significantly impact global energy security. These areas are crucial routes for oil and gas supply, and any disturbance there would directly affect global fuel prices and supply chains. Rajnath Singh also stated that supply chain disruptions are already visible in several sectors, not just energy, and such instability can affect global trade and economic growth. He added that the current global environment is full of uncertainty and it is difficult to predict how the situation in the Middle East or nearby regions will evolve in the future. Defence experts say the minister’s remarks highlight a broader shift in the international system, where global power dynamics and the global order appear to be changing rapidly.
