As the Middle East war enters its 15th day, military experts say the conflict is reaching a dangerous stage after major attacks on key Iranian locations. Defense expert Major General (Retd.) K.K. Sinha explained that the US bombing of Kharg Island is strategically significant. The island lies in the Persian Gulf and is considered the backbone of Iran’s oil economy, with nearly 90 percent of the country’s crude oil exports passing through it. Because Iran’s coastline is shallow, large oil tankers primarily operate from Kharg Island, making it a critical energy hub. Experts say any major damage there could seriously impact Iran’s economy. Iran analyst Aslam Rizvi warned that if oil installations on the island are targeted, the war could take a far more dangerous turn. He claimed Iran still possesses powerful missiles that have not yet been used and may deploy them if the situation worsens. Meanwhile, the United States and Israel reportedly carried out fresh strikes on Iran. Shiraz Airport was targeted, causing a massive fire, while heavy destruction was reported in the city of Isfahan after airstrikes hit several buildings.
