BREAKING NEWS: Iran’s IRGC Hits Back at Trump Remarks, US Claims on Nuclear Threat Escalate Tensions

Tensions between Iran and the United States have intensified further after Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a strong response to recent statements attributed to former US President Donald Trump. The IRGC dismissed Washington’s warnings as exaggerated and asserted that any potential conflict would face severe resistance, claiming that hostile forces would face “heavy losses” in southern Iran. According to Iranian military messaging, the IRGC suggested that the likelihood of a full-scale war with the United States remains low, describing its adversary as weakened. The statement comes amid already heightened geopolitical friction in the Gulf region following recent reported military encounters near strategic waterways such as the Strait of Hormuz. The escalation follows claims of earlier clashes between US and Iranian-linked forces, during which reports suggested casualties on both sides. While these claims remain unverified independently, they have contributed to growing anxiety across the region regarding possible military escalation. Meanwhile, Donald Trump, speaking after a cabinet meeting, reiterated his long-standing position on Iran’s nuclear program. He claimed that without US military pressure, including past strategic air operations, Iran could have developed a nuclear weapon within weeks. Trump further warned that such a scenario could have led to catastrophic consequences for Israel and the broader Middle East. He also issued a strong message to global powers, including Russia and China, opposing any transfer or control of enriched uranium linked to Iran. His remarks come amid diplomatic discussions where Russia has reportedly positioned itself as a potential intermediary regarding Iran’s nuclear material management.
