The 10th day of the major conflict involving United States, Israel, and Iran has begun, with heavy attacks continuing on both sides. Amid the escalating war, Iran has ended speculation over its leadership and reportedly chosen Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of Ali Khamenei, as the country’s new Supreme Leader. After the announcement, celebrations broke out in several Iranian cities. Thousands of supporters gathered on the streets chanting slogans in support of the Khamenei leadership. However, the development has triggered sharp reactions from Washington and Tel Aviv. Donald Trump warned that Iran’s new leader may not remain in power for long without U.S. approval. Israeli leaders also issued threats, saying Mojtaba Khamenei could face the same fate as his father. Meanwhile, the war continues to intensify. Israeli and U.S. strikes have reportedly destroyed Iran’s Air Force headquarters in Tehran. Iran has retaliated with ballistic missile attacks on Israel and strikes targeting U.S. defense systems in Bahrain. The conflict has also shaken global markets, pushing crude oil prices up sharply to around $110 per barrel, compared with about $73 per barrel before the war began.
