Former U.S. President Donald Trump has shared several AI-generated images and videos on social media that appear to indirectly threaten Iran amid rising tensions between the two countries. In one AI-generated video, an Iranian drone is shown approaching a U.S. warship before being destroyed mid-air by a red laser beam allegedly operated by Trump himself. The visuals symbolically depict American military dominance and possible action against Iran. Trump also posted multiple symbolic AI-generated images, including one showing him pressing a red “attack button,” another depicting drone strikes on Iranian fast boats near the Strait of Hormuz, and a map suggesting attacks on Iran from multiple directions through U.S. military bases in the region. One image carried the caption “Bye-Bye Fast Boats,” referring to Iran’s naval patrol boats. Iran responded strongly to the threats, stating that it is “waiting for America” and warning that any attack would receive a powerful retaliation. The growing tensions are linked to disagreements over war conditions, sanctions, frozen Iranian assets, uranium enrichment, and control over the Strait of Hormuz, raising fears of another major conflict in West Asia.
