A major global development has emerged amid the ongoing energy crisis and rising tensions in the Middle East. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed to Indians to conserve energy as uncertainty continues due to the growing confrontation between the United States and Iran. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump rejected Iran’s latest proposal, saying he did not like it and would not accept it under any circumstances. In response, Iran stated that it would never compromise on national interests and clarified that the proposal was not sent to please America but to protect its own strategic interests. Although a ceasefire remains in place, tensions around the Hormuz region continue. The uncertainty has triggered another sharp rise in crude oil prices, with Brent crude crossing $104 per barrel after a 3.30% increase, while US crude prices also surged above $98 per barrel.
