Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), a global leader in cruise travel and innovation, has announced the launch and opening for sale of its newest ship, Norwegian Aura™, set to debut in Europe in May 2027 before homeporting in Miami for year-round Caribbean sailings.

At nearly 1,130 feet in length and 168,000 gross tons, Norwegian Aura will be the largest and longest vessel in NCL’s fleet, accommodating up to 3,840 guests at double occupancy. Designed to elevate the guest experience across all ages, the ship will feature the all-new Ocean Heights™, a multi-deck open-air activities complex offering the most slides on any NCL ship, a thrilling ropes course, and overhanging cabanas.

Each seven-day Caribbean voyage will include calls to Harvest Caye in Belize or Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas, the latter now enhanced with new experiences such as the Great Life Lagoon, the Vibe Shore Club, and the upcoming Great Tides Waterpark, set to open in 2026.

Harry Sommer, President and Chief Executive Officer, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd., said, “Norwegian Aura represents the evolution of Norwegian Cruise Line and the celebration of bringing together families, friends and travellers from around the world. With brilliance and connection at her core, the ship was created to give all guests the freedom to vacation their very own way – offering the chance to exhale, connect and effortlessly escape into the moment.”

Currently being built by Fincantieri, Norwegian Aura will showcase interiors designed by globally acclaimed firms including Piero Lissoni, Rockwell Group, AD Associates, SMC Design, and Studio Dado. The ship will also feature The Haven by Norwegian, offering 30 per cent more suites than previous Prima Class ships, with private access, dedicated dining, and an infinity pool.

Before homeporting in Miami, Norwegian Aura will sail an inaugural Mediterranean voyage from Trieste to Barcelona on 21 May 2027, followed by a transatlantic crossing to begin her Caribbean season in June 2027.
