How Malaika Arora Stays Fit at 51: Ghee, Yoga & Zen

At 51, Malaika Arora continues to inspire with her radiant energy and fitness. In a candid conversation with Soha Ali Khan on her YouTube podcast, the actor revealed some of her simple yet effective wellness secrets that keep her feeling and looking her best.

For Malaika, food is all about balance and simplicity. “Ghee is my superfood. I truly believe in portion control, that is something I really do. I rarely eat on a plate; instead, I always prefer a katori. By and large, I eat at home and stick to basic, home-cooked meals,” she shared.

Beyond diet, Malaika highlighted how sleep is often the most “underestimated aspect of our life.” She stressed that quality rest is just as important as diet and exercise. Staying active is also non-negotiable for her. “Just keep your body active, whatever it may be. Yoga has helped me tremendously. If you are not feeling good, listen to your body,” she added.

Lifestyle Tweaks Inspired by Malaika

Practice portion control by eating from smaller bowls instead of large plates. This helps you enjoy your meals without overeating while keeping your digestion light.

Incorporate ghee mindfully into your diet as it boosts energy, aids digestion, and enhances skin health. A small spoon daily is all you need for its benefits.

Choose home-cooked meals over processed or packaged foods. Fresh, simple ingredients not only nourish the body but also keep you feeling lighter and more energetic.

Prioritise quality sleep by aiming for 7–8 hours every night. Deep rest restores the body, balances hormones, and improves overall mood.

Stay active every day with a form of movement you truly enjoy. Be it yoga, walking, or dancing, consistency is key to long-term fitness.

Listen to your body instead of following rigid routines. Rest when you need it and push yourself only when you feel strong and capable.
