At the centre of it all, 30 years of longing finally transform into history at Lollapalooza India 2026. Linkin Park, the band whose very name is stitched into the fabric of a generation, are coming to India for the first time ever, making it one of the most seismic debuts on Indian soil. The band, having won multiple GRAMMYs and selling over 100 million records worldwide, that defined music for every teenager with their hard-hitting fusion of rock, rap and raw emotion, have long been one of India’s most requested acts. This is a once-in-a-lifetime shared milestone for millions of fans whose younger years and personal journeys have been soundtracked by their anthems like ‘In the End’, ‘Numb’ and ‘Crawling’ with today’s young fans following suit. Over two decades in, they remain unstoppable, with recent releases like ‘Lost’, ‘Friendly Fire’ and their latest album From Zero topping charts. Their India debut is cathartic and comes full-circle as a moment that will echo far beyond the festival grounds.
Matching that intensity with raw swagger is Playboi Carti, hip-hop’s enigmatic disruptor. With a cult-like following and a sound that reshaped modern rap, Carti is as much a cultural movement as he is an artist. His era-defining tracks like ‘Magnolia’, ‘Sky’ and ‘Stop Breathing’ and his latest album Music where all 30 tracks stormed the Billboard Hot 100, have cemented his place as one of the most innovative forces in music today. Now, for the very first time in India, Carti brings his raw, experimental energy to the stage, signalling a new chapter for hip-hop in the country. Carti brings with him his Opium labelmates for one banger set. Ken Carson, carving out a legacy as one of the most daring voices in the next generation of hip-hop, Destroy Lonely’s hypnotic internet-era swagger and Homixide Gang’s raw street heat collide for a masterclass in spontaneity that turns the stage into their own wild, untamed universe.
The riot of rebel continues with YUNGBLUD, the British phenomenon whose punk-charged, heart-on-sleeve energy has sparked viral anthems like ‘Parents’ and ‘Fleabag’. Expect chaos, catharsis and community in a performance that refuses to play by the rules. He has built a revolution of inclusivity, using his platform to champion mental health, LGBTQ+ rights and youth empowerment worldwide.
With a voice that melts genres, Kehlani brings their lionhearted artistry to the stage, weaving R&B, neo-soul and pop into Grammy-nominated brilliance including ‘You Should Be Here’ and ‘Distraction’. She first found her voice in the soulful stories of Erykah Badu, Ms. Lauryn Hill and Amy Winehouse carrying forward that same spirit with unflinching honesty, stitching pain and power into every velvet-smooth verse. Meanwhile, EDM wunderkind Knock2, just 25 years old and already hailed as the future of bass, is set to drop dancefloor firepower that will leave nobody still. His breakout dashstar became both a festival staple and a Counter-Strike anthem, while his Room202 shows redefined what an underground party could be.
From LANY’s shimmering brand of synth-pop heartbreaks that have become the soundtrack to countless late-night confessions, to Sammy Virji’s infectious UK bass mastery that commands dancefloors worldwide, the line-up brings together a spectrum of sound and emotion. Fujii Kaze adds his soulful, piano-driven intimacy, weaving vulnerability into every note, while The Midnight transport audiences with their widescreen synthwave nostalgia, echoing neon-lit nights and cinematic horizons. The quintet legendary rock band, Mother Mother, celebrating two decades, will bring the signature element of their music, a juxtaposition of unexpectedly upbeat tunes with pessimistic or sombre lyrics. Titled Nostalgia, the Vancouver luminaries latest release lives up to its name, through the inclusion of material dating back to the band’s beginnings, as well as new songs looking toward its future.
India’s very own metal powerhouse, Bloodywood, returns to the Lolla stage with their globally acclaimed blend of folk and metal that has redefined the genre, standing tall as a true export of Indian music. Calum Scott’s stirring ballads will bring festival-wide sing-alongs and emotional high notes after opening for Ed Sheeran’s record-breaking show in Mumbai in 2024, now establishing himself as one of today’s most heartfelt storytellers in pop.
The journey only expands further. Pioneering Afro-jazz-funk collective, Nubiyan Twist light up the stage with explosive grooves and horns, while Prithvi Presents reimagines Indian traditions with a festival-ready twist. Bass-heavy trailblazers turn up the pulse – Hamdi with his UKG (UK Garage) and grime signatures, Baalti as a rising South Asian indie-rooted force that built their style digging through dusty crates of Gujarati folk, Bengali disco, Hindustani classical and Bollywood vinyl, and viral German sensation BUNT., who fuses banjos, fiddles and harmonicas with euphoric house drops has been winning hearts on global dancefloors.
India’s indie vanguard takes charge too, from Ankur Tewari & The Ghalat Family’s Hindi rock poetics, to tabla maestro and Asian avant-garde pioneer Karsh Kale known for fusing traditional Indian classical music with electronica, rock and other contemporary genres, having collaborated with global stars like Sting and Alicia Keys and to the lush electronic independent pop textures of OAFF-Savera, the pair behind ‘Doobey’. Rising homegrown stars MXRCI will fly the flag for Indian hip-hop, while Brazilian innovator MU540 brings the gritty heat of baile funk straight from São Paulo and Hot Milk, Manchester’s alt-rock rebels tear up stages with ferocious riffs, restless energy and witty sass.
Lollapalooza India will again become the launchpad for the next wave of India’s indie music discoveries, ready to rise and redefine the scene, with Sen, Zoya, Gini, Pacifist, Zokova, Gauley Bhai, Nate08, Pho, EXCISE DEPT, Still in Therapy, Rudy Mukta, Rounak Maiti, Sijya, Sunflower Tape Machine and Trance Effect.
The 2026 edition promises an incredible experience, with world-class performances, stunning installations, captivating experiences, a flavour-packed Lolla Food Park, with #LollaForChange at its heart. Music, culture and community squad up like never before, making Lollapalooza India 2026 a weekend you don’t want to miss.
