Cooking Oil Consumption Should Be Reduced by 10%

Urging citizens to adopt healthier habits, PM Modi advised households to consciously reduce their cooking oil purchases by 10%. He believes that such small but consistent steps can lead to significant improvements in the nation’s health.

He said, “In the coming years, experts predict that one in every three people will be affected by obesity. We need to protect ourselves from obesity.”

A Push For Preventive Healthcare And Fitness

PM Modi’s call to reduce oil consumption and promote physical activity reflects a shift toward preventive healthcare and behavioural change. His message goes beyond individual choices, encouraging a collective national effort to combat lifestyle-related diseases.

His call to reduce oil usage and increase physical activity aligns with the government’s focus on preventive healthcare and behavioural change. Over the years, India has rolled out various initiatives such as the Fit India Movement, POSHAN Abhiyaan, Eat Right India, and Khelo India. These programmes aim to promote balanced nutrition, healthier eating habits, and increased participation in sports and fitness activities, ultimately building a stronger and healthier nation.
