As the festive season draws near, beauty and self-care become top priorities for many. From Diwali gatherings to Navratri nights, the desire to look radiant is universal. But experts agree, a true festive glow isn’t about last-minute fixes, it’s about consistent rituals that nurture your skin from within.

“Prepping your skin ahead of celebrations is no longer just about quick facials or instant glow creams. It’s about building a consistent ritual that enhances natural radiance,” says Dr Ajay Rana, dermatologist, aesthetic physician, and founder, ILAMED. He emphasizes that in the weeks leading up to festivities, three steps are essential: deep cleansing to remove impurities, hydration to maintain elasticity, and targeted treatments like exfoliation or masks to restore brightness.

With heavy makeup, late nights, and even seasonal changes putting stress on the skin, these rituals provide resilience. Dr Rana adds, “We’re seeing a shift towards clean, effective formulations that combine tradition and science. Turmeric, aloe vera, and hyaluronic acid are becoming staples in festive routines, offering the perfect balance between heritage remedies and modern dermatology.”

The conscious consumer is also reshaping the beauty landscape, leaning toward products that are sustainable and kind to both skin and planet. But experts remind us that festive skincare goes beyond what we apply topically. “A balanced diet, adequate hydration, and quality sleep amplify the results of products, ensuring your skin feels as good as it looks,” Dr. Rana notes.

Echoing this holistic approach, Nitin Gupta, founder, Juhst, outlines practical rituals to maintain glow through the festive rush. “Hydrate deeply, not just with water, but also with lightweight moisturizers to balance festive stress. Gentle exfoliation removes dullness, while prioritizing sleep is non-negotiable. Rested skin reflects radiance better than any quick fix,” he shares.

Gupta also stresses barrier protection and mindful eating. “Stick to simple, nourishing routines to avoid last-minute breakouts, and balance festive indulgence with fruits, veggies, and antioxidants. Your skin will thank you for it,” he advises.

Together, these insights highlight that the path to festive glow is about harmony blending inner wellness, mindful habits, and science-backed skincare. Start early, stay consistent, and let your natural radiance shine through every celebration.
