A mass shooting on a community-college campus in Oregon left 13 dead and at least 20 more wounded, according to NBC News. That number is expected to rise.

Reports of the Thursday shooting at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg emerged at around 10:40 A.M. local time. More than 3,000 students attend the school, and students and faculty were reportedly bused to a nearby fairgrounds.

In a press conference, Douglas County sheriff John Hanlin did not confirm the numbers of deceased and wounded, but said that the shooter, a man, had exchanged gunfire with police. Hanlin confirmed that the shooter was dead, and in a later press conference, Oregon governor Kate Brown said that he was 20 years old.

According to transcripts of the police dispatch obtained by CNN, the shooter had gone to multiple classrooms in the campus’s Snyder Hall.
