French haute couture will take pride of place in Barcelona next spring. Following in the footsteps of designers such as Elie Saab, Viktor & Rolf, Giambattista Valli, and Vivienne Westwood, Stéphane Rolland will headline the next edition of Barcelona Bridal Night, the flagship event of Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week. The designer will present his work in Spain for the first time with a show featuring 80 creations, including 20 brand-new looks specially designed for the occasion, on April 22, 2026 in Hall 8 at the Montjuïc venue.

“Barcelona is a city that shares haute couture’s appreciation for form, volume, and artistic expression,” said Rolland. “My dresses are emotional architectures, and this will be a unique occasion to celebrate this with an international audience in a deeply cultural setting.”
A member of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture, Rolland founded his maison in 2007 after working at houses such as Balenciaga and Jean-Louis Scherrer, where he became the youngest artistic director on the French haute couture scene. With a style that fuses the tradition of French couture with a sculptural vision, combining technique, theatricality and art, his designs have been worn by the likes of Lady Gaga, Céline Dion, Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, and Nieves Álvarez.
“Having Stéphane Rolland for the tenth anniversary of Bridal Night marks a milestone that reflects our commitment to excellence,” said the bridal fashion event’s director Albasarí Caro. “His presence further elevates the artistic calibre of the event and confirms Barcelona as a global epicentre of design and haute couture.”
As part of the event’s commitment to young talent, the fashion show will feature the participation of 24 students from the Barcelona schools IED (Istituto Europeo di Design), ESDI (Escola Superior de Disseny), and LCI Barcelona, who will open the show with original pieces created in collaboration with the French maison. Over six months, they will work with fabrics loaned by Gratacós to bring their designs to life before they share the catwalk with Rolland’s creations. In the words of Caro, “at BBFW we are committed to giving visibility and opportunities to new talent in the city”, emphasising that “supporting young designers means guaranteeing the constant renewal and excellence of the sector.”
Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week, organised by Fira de Barcelona with the support of the Departament d’Empresa i Treball de la Generalitat de Catalunya, will be held from April 22 to 26, 2026 at the Montjuïc venue. The next edition will feature more than 400 exhibiting brands and nearly 40 designers on the catwalk, consolidating its position as an international benchmark in bridal, ceremony, and red carpet fashion.
