Carolina Herrera will present its spring-summer 2026 collection with a fashion show in Madrid’s Plaza Mayor on September 18. It will mark the American luxury brand’s first runway show in Spain.

The historic Plaza Mayor, a landmark with over 400 years of history, was chosen as the venue for the show. Creative director Wes Gordon expressed his admiration for the symbolic space, which became a source of inspiration for the collection.

“Plaza Mayor is the heart of Madrid, one of the places that sets the pace of the city. Its energy envelops you instantly and was a source of inspiration for the spring-summer 26 collection,” said the designer in a statement released Tuesday.

Gordon, who studied at Central Saint Martins in London, was appointed creative director of Carolina Herrera in 2018. He succeeded the house’s Venezuelan founder, Carolina Herrera, who stepped away from her design role that year.

The event will be preceded by a private welcome dinner on September 17, attended by notable names from the worlds of fashion and art. An after-party will follow the show, during which the brand’s new fragrance, “La Bomba,” will be unveiled.

Under Gordon’s direction, the brand has modernized its identity while maintaining its elegant DNA. Carolina Herrera’s designs have gained traction among younger audiences, with celebrities like Rosalía and Katy Perry embracing the label’s style, while longtime loyal wearers include Michelle Obama and Renée Zellweger.
