Akansha Ranjan Kapoor made a striking appearance at a fashion event in Mumbai. The star looked radiant in a silver-grey ensemble that perfectly captured the spirit of the evening, which celebrated India’s finest designers, global collaborations and bold fashion narratives.

Akansha shared a reel from the a fashion gala, held at JW Marriott, Juhu recently, with the caption: “Got so delayed getting ready I missed the pre-event photos — so here’s my Vogue India Forces of Fashion 2025 look straight from the event.”

Her outfit choice left fans in awe. The actress wore a silver-grey maxi gown featuring a form-fitting, structured corset bodice that accentuated her silhouette. The gown’s halter neckline flowed into a plunging V cut, while the satin skirt featured ruched detailing, draped folds and gathered fabric at the hips that cascaded effortlessly to the floor.

She styled her hair in a soft wavy updo, leaving a few strands loose for a romantic, effortless effect. The makeup was kept elegant and glowing, with shimmery smokey eyes, subtle contour and a soft pink lip. Minimal diamond accessories, including a delicate bracelet and ring, completed her look, letting the gown remain the focal point.

The Forces of Fashion 2025 showcase, hosted by Vogue India, spanned five days of exhibitions (September 16–20) at Nilaya Anthology, Mumbai, culminating in a star-studded gala on September 23. Supported by Moroccanoil, Grey Goose Vive Le Voyage, and Nilaya Anthology, the event spotlighted over 35 designers, blending heritage with contemporary innovation.

The showcase transformed Nilaya Anthology into a living gallery of Indian craftsmanship, featuring intricate textiles, experimental silhouettes and artistic narratives from India’s most celebrated fashion voices.

This year’s edition highlighted a powerful line-up of industry icons, contemporary designers and fresh talent.

Industry Icons: Manish Malhotra, Anita Dongre, Gaurav Gupta, Rimzim Dadu, Shantnu & Nikhil, Shivan & Narresh, Varun Bahl, Suneet Varma, Shyamal & Bhumika and House of Kotwara.

Global Highlight: For the first time in Asia, Rabanne brought archival dresses and runway pieces to the Forces of Fashion stage, marking a milestone collaboration.
