The Tamil Nadu Lok Bhavan on Saturday released the portfolio distribution for the newly constituted Cabinet headed by Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay, days after the actor-turned-politician assumed office following his party’s sweeping victory in the 2026 Assembly elections.
According to the official notification, Vijay retained key portfolios including Public, General Administration, Police, Home, Municipal Administration, Urban and Water Supply, along with Women Welfare, Youth Welfare, Welfare of Children, senior citizens and differently-abled persons.
N Anand was assigned the Rural Development and Water Resources portfolio, handling Panchayats, poverty alleviation programmes and irrigation projects.
Aadhav Arjuna was given charge of Public Works and Sports Development, including highways, buildings and minor ports.
KG Arunraj was allocated Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare.
Senior leader KA Sengottaiyan was entrusted with the Finance portfolio, including pensions and pension allowances.
P Venkataramanan took charge of Food and Civil Supplies, Consumer Protection and Price Control.
R Nirmalkumar was assigned Energy Resources and Law, including electricity, non-conventional energy development, courts, prisons, elections and passports.
Rajmohan was allocated School Education, Tamil Development, Information and Publicity, Film Technology and Archaeology.
TK Prabhu took charge of Natural Resources, including minerals and mines.
Selvi S. Keerthana was assigned the Industries and Investment Promotion portfolio.
