Continuous overnight rainfall has brought relief from the heat across Delhi-NCR but has also caused widespread disruption. According to the report, heavy rain has led to waterlogging in several areas, including Munirka, Laxmi Nagar, Sadar Bazaar, and ITO, resulting in traffic congestion and difficulties for commuters during office hours. A yellow alert remains in effect, indicating the possibility of more rainfall and continued disruption. The report also highlights a separate incident in Maharashtra’s Raigad district, where heavy flooding reportedly swept around 3,000 LPG cylinders into the Patalganga River near an HPCL LPG bottling plant in Chawane village, Panvel taluka. It states that some cylinders were full while others were empty, and videos showed local residents collecting several of them. Authorities have appealed to people to return the cylinders, explaining that floodwaters entered the storage facility and carried the cylinders downstream. The incidents underline the widespread impact of heavy monsoon rains on transportation, infrastructure, and public safety.
