Violence Erupts During “I Love Muhammad” Procession In Kashipur, Ali Khan; Police Force Deployed

Kashipur, Udham Singh Nagar — Tensions boiled over in the Ali Khan neighbourhood after a procession bearing “I Love Muhammad” placards reportedly turned violent. Hundreds of young men allegedly marched through the streets chanting slogans and carrying banners when clashes broke out with police. Eyewitnesses say some participants attempted to physically attack officers and broke the glass of a police vehicle by throwing stones. The situation deteriorated rapidly, prompting law enforcement from adjacent areas to be called in for reinforcement. Authorities used mild force to disperse the mob, resulting in chaos and property damage. Local residents say the crowd was large and inflamed, and many were carrying placards in a provocative manner. Though the organisers claim the procession was peacefully intended as an expression of faith, police maintain that permit requirements were ignored. The district administration has announced an investigation into the incident, with several people expected to be questioned. Meanwhile, the area remains under heightened security as tensions simmer and residents demand swift action to restore order.
